The First Timers Reception will take place at the RSU Anatomy Museum. This event is specially designed for those of you who are joining an in-person EAHIL conference for the first time ever.
Located within the renowned RSU Anatomy Museum is a fascinating hub of knowledge about the human body. From ancient anatomical models to cutting-edge exhibits, it's a place where you can dive into the wonders of anatomy and medical science.
If you're new to the excitement of attending an in-person EAHIL conference, this reception offers you a wonderful opportunity to connect with other first-timers. Whether you're already familiar with online EAHIL events or completely new to our community, we welcome you to join us at this dynamic gathering.
The easiest way to reach RSU Anatomy Museum is to go to tramstop Nacionālā bibliotēka (to the left of the conference entrance), take tramline 5 in the direction Mīlgrāvis and get off at the stop Ausekļa iela. Or you could take a ~30 minute walk from the conference location.

Wednesday, June 12th
The Welcome Reception
18:30 Meeting in the Old Town for a guided tour. No shuttles will be provided. Guests can use the public transportation or walk by foot. Old Town Riga, with its narrow cobblestone streets (comfortable shoes are recommended), not only features gorgeous Medieval-era buildings but unique sacral structures as well. Buildings in the growing city were constructed by guilds of craftsmen and artists. Meeting point for the guided tour: Rolands statue, Rātslaukums, Riga.
The Welcome reception will be held at the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation.
The Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation is the oldest in Latvia and the whole of the Baltics, and one of the oldest in Europe. The Museum is situated in Old Riga, in a remarkable architectural monument of the 13th–20th centuries – the ensemble of the Riga Dom.
The venue is within walking distance (15-20 minutes), across the bridge over the Daugava River. You can also use public transport (bus, tram), one stop from the conference venue to Grēcinieku Street and then 10 minutes walk to the Old Town.

Thursday, June 13th
The Gala Dinner will be held at The House of the Black Heads, one of the most gorgeous buildings in Riga preserving both the unique historical heritage of the legendary Brotherhood of Black Heads and the history of Riga.
The venue is within walking distance (15 minutes), across the bridge over the Daugava River. You can also use public transport (bus, tram), one stop from the conference venue to Grēcinieku Street and then 3 minutes walk to the Old Town.
